Pick ‘Em Sports March Madness Challenge – Official Rules
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.
By participating in the Pick ‘Em Sports March Madness Challenge (the “Challenge”), you agree to abide by these Official Rules and all decisions of Pick ‘Em Technologies Inc. (the “Sponsor”), which are final and binding.
1. ELIGIBILITY
The Challenge is open only to legal residents of the United States who are at least 18 years old at the time of entry. Participants between the ages of 13 and 17 may enter but must obtain permission from a parent or legal guardian, who must also accompany them on any awarded prize experience. Employees, officers, directors, and representatives of Pick ‘Em Technologies Inc., its affiliates, and immediate family members (spouses, parents, siblings, and children) are not eligible to win.
The Challenge is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations and is void where prohibited.
2. CHALLENGE PERIOD
The Challenge begins with the First Round (Round of 64) of the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament and continues through the National Championship game. The First Four games are not included.
3. HOW TO ENTER
Participants must create a free Pick ‘Em Sports account and make their game picks round by round as matchups are revealed. Unlike traditional bracket-style contests, this Challenge allows participants to make picks for each individual matchup as teams advance through the tournament.
• Picks for each round must be submitted before the first game of that round tips off.
• Users may change their picks up until the scheduled start time of each individual game.
• Any missed picks will result in zero points for those matchups.
4. SCORING SYSTEM
Participants earn points based on correct picks in each round:
• First Round (Round of 64): 1 point per correct pick (32 points max)
• Second Round (Round of 32): 2 points per correct pick (32 points max)
• Sweet 16: 4 points per correct pick (32 points max)
• Elite Eight: 8 points per correct pick (32 points max)
• Final Four: 10 points per correct pick (20 points max)
• National Championship: 12 points for the correct pick (12 points max)
• Total Possible Points: 160
The participant with the highest total score at the end of the tournament will be declared the winner.
5. TIEBREAKERS
In the event of a tie, the winner will be determined based on the following criteria, in order:
1. Most overall correct picks throughout the tournament.
2. Most correct picks in the Final Four round.
3. Most correct picks in the Elite Eight round.
4. Most correct picks in the Sweet 16 round.
5. Most correct picks in the First Round (Round of 64).
6. Random drawing conducted by the Sponsor.
6. PRIZE
The winner will receive a Basketball Hall of Fame Experience, including:
• Round-trip airfare to Boston Logan International Airport for two (2) within the U.S.
• Hotel accommodations near the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame, selected by Sponsor (2-night stay)
• Admission to the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame
Prize is non-transferable, and no substitutions will be made except at the Sponsor’s discretion. The Prize has no cash value. Any expenses not expressly included (e.g., meals, transportation, incidentals) are the responsibility of the winner.
7. WINNER NOTIFICATION & VERIFICATION
The potential winner will be notified within 14 days of the conclusion of the tournament via the email associated with their Pick ‘Em Sports account. The winner must respond within seven (7) days and complete any necessary forms (including an affidavit of eligibility and liability/publicity release). If a winner fails to respond or is found ineligible, an alternate winner may be selected.
If the winner is under 18, their parent or legal guardian must sign all necessary documents and accompany them on the prize trip.
8. GENERAL TERMS
• Use of the Pick ‘Em Sports App are governed by the Pick ‘ Em App Terms and Conditions.
• By entering, participants agree to release and hold harmless Pick ‘Em Technologies Inc., its affiliates, and any related parties from any liability arising from participation in the Challenge or receipt of the prize.
• Sponsor reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel the Challenge in the event of fraud, technical failure, or other circumstances beyond its control.
• By accepting the prize, the winner grants Pick ‘Em Technologies Inc. the right to use their name, likeness, and entry details for promotional purposes without additional compensation, unless prohibited by law.
• Participants agree to abide by these Official Rules and any decisions made by the Sponsor.
9. PRIVACY
Any personal information collected will be used solely for the administration of this Challenge and in accordance with the Pick ‘Em Sports Privacy Policy.
